I am accessing from the same LAN but will want to access thru the internet in the near future. I use a global asa file to get startup data but I always get errors when it trys to access data on another server. Its like IIS does not know other servers exist. I am comfortable with building IIS applications but don't want to have to recompile a com object and re-register it if I have changes. Editing VB or Java script is much easier and more productive when you have 80 internal applications to manage.

I am really week at setting up the IIS server then came 2000. How do I get to DCOM and what settings do I change?

By the way, I was in Tallin about 2years ago when on a Raddison cruise of the Baltic. I really enjoyed the visit in your area. I saw Riga, Latvia (nice town but not to friendly), spent 2 days in St Petersburg, Helsinki, Finland and Stockholm, Sweden. A great 7 days in August.
