Please ignore my last question I figured it out..
You need the objects both in the group header and the detail band...I misunderstood you...
The only problem I still have is that it leaves space in between each group..
Have you managed to solve this?

>The workaround is to copy the objects from your detail into the group header. In the OnExit band for the group header, put a UDF call to a function that does a SKIP. This Skip prevents the same record from showing up in both columns 1 and 2 of row 1.
