I have also been unable to do so on several other machines running Win 98. I can use a hyperlink button to call up a browser to view the Chm file, but this is rather clumsy and not workable in a commercial application.

Dimitry,

Bingo! In a Dos command window "hh.exe orig8.chm" works perfectly.

I also put "!hh.exe orig8.chm" into a command button on a test form. Except for a momentary "flash" of a Dos window it works again. I suppose I can just test for what version of Windows is being run and use HH explicitly when necessary.

The test was done with Windows 98 plain (not SE) and the latest version of IE. I presume that it will work with SE also. I will eventually test that.

Thanks
