No, Mark, this is not a work around. Setting the column's ControlSource to a conditional statement makes it ReadOnly. The point is that I do not want the column to be ReadOnly if it is in a data entry grid. Using a drop down list in the ReadOnly column still allows my users to change the data < s >.
I know what the docs say, but I question why it has to be that way. I still do not understand why the VFP Team can not allow a dropdown list to be set to ReadOnly.
That I cannot answer. I suppose that since it has been documented as being by design, changing it is probably not such a good idea.
