I agree completely.. all crap. But, liking (or not) these music belong to our culture.. They represent the identity of brazilian people (in special, our president Lula)

So, give me a break.. You are about to tell me that you never did a little "batucada" when those "pagodes" comes into some radio broadcast.. Reminding you.. by now you are not talking as a brazilian.. So relax, put your right hand upward and tell us: Ok I already "batuquei" once !!

Now serious, That´s right.. the difference between those is the language (portuguese and english).. And, the subjects..

. Pagodes and etc.. represents the poor people's poetry (comparable to RAP of the USA)

I don´t like it.. But, I can understand.. How, why and for who they are singing.. I don´t have any identity with those songs.. They can touch deep a lot of peoples!!

Same as Mettalica.. They have "it target" client.. Teens, Pre-teens, Poust-teens, etc.. But, they only want to do the same (That any category wants)

Mettalica can not to be considered good music !! No gliches, at maximum !!

But now, politically speaking (independent of type of music that you like) everybody can consider:

. Norah Jones, Eric Clapton, Sting, Alberta Hunter, Rolling Stones, Queen, etc..
. The very old one tchaykovisk, Frank Sinatra, Barry White, Bee gees, etc..
. Brazilians: Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, Elis Regina, etc..

Usually the products created as art, they represent only the thought of that people.. The world is (more and more) full of brainless creatures. This is not exclusive for Brazil!!
