We have created a form that uses the Winsock control to retrieve the IP address for all PC's attached to a network. This IP address is then used to control the shutting down of our application from one central location for program updates. On our two test systems, one NT 4.0 with Windows 98/2000 PC's and the other Windows 2000 per-to-per it works fine. When we installed it at our customers site the winsock object fails to instantiate (fails on the CreateObject), so the IP address cannot be picked up. We have tried manually registering the Winsock control and it says that it was successfuly installed.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
