I've searched everything I can think of and haven't come up with a workable solution. I have a timer that controls shutting down my application. However, I don't want it to fire if the application is running a process. How can I determine if the application is just sitting there or is actively processing. I've covered for mouse movement and keyboard activity, but if they put it in the background because something big is running, the timer still fires.

Any and all ideas are welcome.
