>Ok, Ok... I'll confess: yesterday I've been with some fellows from Argentina who lives nearby, and I learned that "yesterday" is "ayer", what's a hell of different word than what we use in Portuguese (which is "ontem"). It always amazes me how similar and how different these languages can be.

In fact, Portuguese and Spanish has a lot in common (despite of "ayer"). Anyways, Portuguese has (IMO) some unique expressions like (excuse my P.): "Banana nao tem caroso mais tem filamento grosso que difficulta masticacao". (please do some correction)
However, regarding Brazil & Argentina there's nothing to do about football! "Eternal Enemies" :)
