I certainly agree that there ain't much better than Fox. It still steams me the way M$ did not aggressively push Fox after they bought it. My boss, a SQL 7.0 junkie, tried to process a few hundred thousand records in SQL Server. Individual record processing is not what SQL Server was made for! 80+ hours later, I showed him how to retrieve the records from SQL Server and loop through them in Fox then post back to SQL. 10 minutes max. Can you imagine the power if they would have embodied the Fox language inside SQL Server?

Now the Linux and open source community is trying to come up with an open source version of xBase, plus the product Recital. More power to them. Especially after M$ high handed treatment of Will Hentzen and demoing on Linux/Wine.

There, I feel better. ;-)
