I'm currently working on an app for our sales people that allows order review, pricing info, sales info, customer info etc,etc. I'm using C#. I will be using XML for data storage on this version. The updated files will be connected to our server via a web site transfer nightly.

However, I wrote an app using software from www.syware.com to prototype the system. It has a built in database system and screen designer. Worked well for the proto-type stage. You may want to look at that to start with.
