I did the same thing to. I received an email last week saying my Pocket PC will be shipped on the 17th. Earlier, someone had pointed me to a newstheard on the MS MSDN newsgroup where folks where being turned down for the pocket if they bought MSDN thru Ebay. An MS rep posted on the newsgroup that the dealers of MSDN on EBay were exploiting a loophole in their contract with MS to sell at the $1000 and below price.

I think MS had a change of heart about pocket pc because of all the screaming. But the rep did say on the newsgroup that MS is evaluating the situation of people selling MSDN on Ebay. So I don't know how long this great deal will be available for.

>Depends on what you want to spend. MSDN Pro will get you visual studio. MSDN Universal get's you SQL Server etc (and more stuff than you'll ever need).

>Check out E-Bay and look for the 'Buy-Now's'. I got the Universal for $895 US. Right now, that works out to just under $1200 Cdn. It's a great deal. I'm not sure if the rebate offer is still on, but it was when I ordered it, so I'll be getting $460.00 Cdn back from MS for ordering it on DVD rather than CD. Also, because it included VS 2003, I get a free Viewsonic Pocket PC.
