Hello Ken;

>This change was done at their request. They all still have a sub-category in their MVP status with VFP and they are all still active in the VFP community (here on the UT, at VFP conferences, etc.). I think all four of them have been working with .NET technologies for at least two years now. What they are doing in the past month when the status changed isn't anything different from what they have been doing for over a year, so the only writing on the wall is your graffiti with your comment.

>I don't know of any other MVPs will be switching at this time, but that is not to say others won't based on their goals. My understanding is that when these MVPs mention their new MVP title in their sessions at VFP conferences, they receive an applause. So I don't think most people view this as a negative thing, especially those who know them since they are not doing anything different than they already were before. Also, you shouldn't have to be reminded how to spell Cathi's name since you know her, Duffi. :)

In my honest opinion:

To be MOST VALUABLE in something (it does not matter what). The person must have made something, that change the life of the others. There is a lot of responsibility on it. When they decide to switch his resumes titles, this simple fact, turns then to be: a very little valuable person. For one simple reason: TRUST

It is almost the same as we see the shepherd of our church to say that he discovered that the devil is a great guy. He spent his word all those years making to believe us that he wasn't.

Certainlly the responsability is not the same of this shepherd, but the missed trust. Takes them the credit of MVP. At least morally speaking.

Ken Levy here is some piece of advice: Don't accept sub-titles.. There is no honor on it!
