I have an old P150MX with 48MB of RAM. Yes, it's slow to work with, but I only wanted it to play with, when I was at home or away from my workstation. It gives me time to play and read up on more new features on VFP 8. I tell you this, because the Intellisense was causing my system to drag 1 to 2 seconds at times between showing keystrokes. I added a toolbar, with 2 buttons, 1 that changes the current List settings and the other to change the QuickNotes settings. both, are part of the _VFP.EditorOptions. A tidbit I read here turned me onto setting this up.
