Thanks Victor.
I will takle this this weekend. I am sure interested to find all the bells and wistles on this one.
by the way, that's how i usually do this too: read the docs later (or not at all). <s>
about intellesense: i've downloaded Christof Lange's attemp/proof for intellesense in vfp6. might have been my computer, but a view things did'nt work there. i played around with trhe code for a while and now have:
- objects (and thisform) with all propperties, events, and mothods (with a second column for the type/pem)
- tables open and fields are displayed if the table is in the path and not opened at the time (also with a second column for the type)
so i think i have the same advantage as you had
Thanks again for you help. i'll let you know how it turned out sometimes next week.
>This will point you in the right direction. Once you've messed around with it for a day or two you'll find that it's really pretty simple to use. I was using VFP7 when I first started messing around with it, and since VFP7 has intellesense it was simple - I just created the wmencoder object, then from the command window typed in "wmencoder." and saw what the properties/events where. It wasn't till much later that I acutally decided to read the documentation for it...ha
