Glad I could help. I also have VS 2003, but like you, for the little stuff when I want to try out some little snippet on something I've been trying to get a handle on, I prefer SharpDevelop too.

As far as VS is concerned, even if you create a .cs file in some other editor and then load it into VS, you can't compile and run it without a project like you can with SharpDevelop.

As far as Antechinus, I bought that a long time ago, and I gave up on it. I've never gotten comfortable with it. For what it's worth, I think SharpDevelop is better (and cheaper).
