Thank all those involved in this thread. Now I have a much clearer image on this issue. It seems I have to install Acrobat reader all over the place.

However, I don't think you're allowed to distribute it w/o Reader (eg. the full version of Reader is required). In fact, Adobe doesn't even document the control (they don't want you using it). Once Reader is installed, it's easy enough to drop this ActiveX onto a form and load a PDF inside of VFP. It isn't particularly stable, though. If PDF handling is a big part of your app., I'd proceed with caution (it blows up a LOT under heavier loads).
