I don't understand the first question though...regarding your statement that the customers need to install IIS. We were figuring that we would use the WestWind libs to send SMTP email via the customer's Mail Server (MS Exchange, for example). This worked fine for me here in the office...once I configured the Mail Server to allow for relaying of email messages from my IP address. What I was wondering...is how to work-around the issue of dynamically assigned IP addresses in regards to allowing/restricting relaying from the mail (smtp) server. Other than forcing the user to have a static IP Address for our application's workstation/server or having them provide a range of IP addresses.....I was hoping to know if there were another approach, while still using SMTP and WestWind.

If so, then you should be able to set up an "Options" form for them so they can put in IP address of the server, as well as User ID and Password [if needed]. Then you can use that with West-Wind to send the e-mail. You can test this using your own personal ISP account with WW.
