Ed,
Glad to hear that something as easy as different call works. The problem I was needing to fix was sending a SafeArray of bytes BY_REF to a COM server provided by the business partner of a client I had at the time. They were anti-VFP and would make no adjustments of their methods to accomodate this problem.

I never tried passing an array of BSTR's since the business partner would only deal with VT_UI1's. It's always good to hear about things that work when we need them to.
