Thanks - Just checked - the close button on the form designer will close it. It was stuffed in the upper right of the screen and I overlooked it. I have always used the close option on the file menu in the past and evidently that is disabled in VFP8 but not in VFP7.

Thanks - that beats clicking on save and Escaping out of the form.

>You're talking about during development? During development, the close button on the form is always disabled. You have to click the close button on the form designer itself.
