Maybe so, but it still doesn't force any changes:

this one is also interesting:

http://cbae.nmsu.edu/~dboje/nike/workconditions.html

I personally visited a Nike plant in Beaverton, OR in the past (I don't know if it still exists) and it was a great environment to work in. The employees were well-paid, the hours were great, the benefits were great, etc. By great, I mean really great by Washington state pay scales. Nike was well known at that time as great company to be a part of. I heard rumours later about switching to parttime employees so they would not have to pay for the benefits, but I never heard if it happened or not. I guess Nike needs to find some means of paying those advertising costs and for the stars who appear in their commercials...

>Hi Tracy,
>there a lot of international organizatins, which observe situation world wide - HumanRightsWotch, TradeUnions, UNEnvironment Commision, CTO, etc.
>I belive that if some firm aford to break international rules for inviroment polutions, or for safety work conditions this organizations will alarm international media.
>The world is much-much opened, than 10-20 years ago and there are many comunication chanals through which this news will be broadcast to publicity.

>>Now if those countries that pick up the work in another country because they can do it cheaper would at a minimum be forced to provide the same work conditions and safety standards it would be easier to swallow...
