In order to avoid issues with other software and the once-renowned "DLL hell", the Company I work for places all of the VFP runtime files and other required DLLs in the application directory they create when they install our system.

I would be interested to know if other people use this system, or is the DLL hell situation not as bad as it used to be?

I also read that in VS.Net, perhaps the next version, there is code that does automatic updates and rollbacks - will that work for a VFP application as well?
