Ah, thanks Jos. I knew about right clicking to get the menu item, but I wonder how the button went missing in the first place? Anyway, to be honest, I really don't want it back. The less real-estate taken up by Windows with buttons I don't need, the more for me.

What I didn't understand from the other post was the implication that after clicking 'Show desktop', the test form was then minimized manually. Likely I just misunderstood what he said.

>>Well, I don't know. I don't have such a button, and I don't have any button that looks like what you described. I do have 'Show Desktop' on the task bar right-click menu, but like I posted in another note, when I click that, everything minimizes - even the test form. Being that it's a desktop form, I don't understand why it wouldn't minimize, and that being the case, how does one minimize it manually after clicking 'Show Desktop'?

>Alan. The right-click on the Taskbar - Show Desktop is the same thing. You can also use Windows Key+D to do the same thing.

>You can create this on your quick launch bar. Clicking it will minimize all apps and "show the desktop". Check out MSKB#190355 - How to recreate the Show Desktop Icon on Quick Launch Toolbar.
