I don't know what gives: that's why I'm trying to help you nail this down hard, so the Fox team can fix it. If it returns 0, then it's probably a problem with something other than REQUERY(). If it returns 1 and still doesn't give the correct data, that narrows the possibilities down tremendously.

I just tried adding an ON ERROR STRTOFILE() immediately before the REQUERY(): the behavior stopped occuring. When I commented it out again, I saw the behavior return.
