Well, now I'm really confused, I tried this again at home, and now the problem manifests. I'd be willing to swear on Philip K. Dick's grave that this did not happen when I tried it a few days ago.

Odd.

>That seems to say that the form was minimized manually after clicking 'Show Desktop'. That's where I got confused because there was no form on the screen to minimize after I clicked 'Show Desktop'. Clearly, looking back on it, that is not what he meant, it's just the way I read it.

>>Alan, I think the problem is that:
>>
>>1) If you click this "Show Desktop" button (or use right-click version) it minimizes all running apps, including your VFP app. So far so good.
>>
>>2) If you click it again (or right-click version) it restores all apps back to where they were. ie. its a toggle switch. Also no problem.
>>
>>3) If you click the minimized VFP app and choose restore it also restores without problem.
>>
>>4) BUT, if the VFP app tries to restore itself (ie un-minimize itself) then it does not do it properly. This is what Bela means by "...to restore the form to its original size and position programatically"

>>>Ah, thanks Jos. I knew about right clicking to get the menu item, but I wonder how the button went missing in the first place? Anyway, to be honest, I really don't want it back. The less real-estate taken up by Windows with buttons I don't need, the more for me.
>>>
>>>What I didn't understand from the other post was the implication that after clicking 'Show desktop', the test form was then minimized manually. Likely I just misunderstood what he said.
