Hi Jos, it wasn't Bela's note that confused me, it was Curt's:

After starting the form, the Show Desktop icon (or right-click taskbar, Show the Desktop) must be selected FIRST, before clicking the form's Minimize button, in order to reproduce the problem.

That seems to say that the form was minimized manually after clicking 'Show Desktop'. That's where I got confused because there was no form on the screen to minimize after I clicked 'Show Desktop'. Clearly, looking back on it, that is not what he meant, it's just the way I read it.

On the other hand, I did try, at home on WinXP, exactly the same thing I did here under Win2k, and the problem appears here, but not at home. I'll have to do some checking to see if I can figure out what might be different (other than simply the O/S).

>>Ah, thanks Jos. I knew about right clicking to get the menu item, but I wonder how the button went missing in the first place? Anyway, to be honest, I really don't want it back. The less real-estate taken up by Windows with buttons I don't need, the more for me.

>>What I didn't understand from the other post was the implication that after clicking 'Show desktop', the test form was then minimized manually. Likely I just misunderstood what he said.
