As a newbie to Mere Mortals, I'm trying to setup a form for a single-record datafile (that is in the DBC). However, no view is needed here. I've created the business object and added it to the form. It's data access object has the cursor name as "SysCntl" - the name of my DBF. However, I have to set the field's control source to "_SysCntl_." to make them visible (I discovered that thru DISPLAY STATUS).

But, when the data access object's GetFieldState() method calls the GETFLDSTATE() function, it passes an alias "[SysCntl]".

Can anyone tell me how I can (re)define this alias properly?
