That's what I figured; in the meantime I've been trying to come up with either a witty one liner or some obtuse method for creating a delay. Something like; reduce the voltage of the power supply in the hope that it will slow the system clock (I know that this is not how the crystal driving the clock works). Alas, I am under too much pressure at the moment to be inspired. The house-purchase-from-hell / house move / remodel are just about coming to an end.
