I am using a combination of local and remote views in my application. The local views are the views generated by the framework, e.g., lv_users, lv_usergroups. I am using remote views to populate business objects for grids that are children of my header business objects, which are populated with remote data via SQL Pass Through.
This is my problem: If I check the "Use Local Data" box on the User Preferences form, it doesn't find my remote views, and returns an error in the first instance of this failure with the message "v_xxx not found." If I don't check the "Use Local Data" box, it doesn't find the above-mentioned local views, and a prompt to open tables appears before the login screen.
This problem occurs before the login screen appears. It does not occur when I run the program on my development machine, but it occurs when I try to test it on another.
The above-mentioned SPT business objects populate properly.
I have set the nUseLocalDataOverride property in my remote view dataenvironments to 2.
My goal is for the system to transparently open both local and remote views from any machine I use. I am most grateful for any suggestions.
Thank you,
