Hi Kevin - Boy, thanks for the reply. I am absolutely stumped. I have run profiler. Nothing out of the ordinary. A few redundant requeries and refreshes. I sent the app over to Jim Slater. He is running windows 2003 server and the same thing happens. 1st user is super fast or acceptably fast, second and subsequent, well over 30 seconds for the login to come in, 10+ seconds to refesh the form after a find. I have recompiled under vfp 8 and same results.

I aum using MM 7.1, stonefield 6.1b, and vfp 7 with service pack 1.

We have disabled the anti virus software, we have moved the server and 2 workstations off the normal network and put on their own switch, 100mbs, and I am quickly running out of ideas.

It seems there is something that detects a 2nd user coming on and the the exe dies in terms of response time. Doesn't make any difference if the first user in is a slow work station (less than a 1.0 ghz chip) or a fast one. Number 2 and higher may as well go the nearest 7-11 and get a cup of coffee. :)

Any ideas at all? Possible to call you. It is a critical app but I guess they all are. I am buffaloed. Thanks Kevin.
