There are often messages here about what files have to be included for distributing an application. My suggestion is that and VFP Runtime be added to the windows update site just like the dotnet runtime files are. This would have a couple advantages:

1. Easily managed my MS. Whenever a the runtime files are modified (service pack type stuff) they can be updated here and are available for our customers to download easily. Right now we have to send these to them.

2. Visible support from MS to the VFP community and potential customers.


I'm sure there are plenty of "considerations and hurdles" in getting something like this actually done. But the sole fact that it is available for dotnet, shows that somebody at MS felt it was a good idea in promoting the dotnet platform, that same argument can be used in getting it for VFP.
