I agree with all those who suggested Hardware. Even if you only have one computer hooked to DSL or Cable, later on if you ever decided to add one you would already be set up. We have a linksys and it works really well, as they stated, takes load off computer, and software firewalls can really take resources, and best of all, they are fairly cheap. You can usually find good sales or rebates on them as of lately also.
