I have been getting hundreds of notices of mail returned to sender by my ISP for infected mail that was sent to me, and hundreds that had my email address as From me using an email address that I have listed here, but haven't used for over a year. All spoofed mail with my address as sender has this in common .

And they indicate that the mail is infected with W32/Sobig.f@MM virus

Many of the recipients are addresses that I recognize from here. For the record, I am not perpetuating this crap, the IP address shown is not mine. This computer must be offline on the weekend, as I didn't get anything after late Friday night until Monday morning. I even downloaded the stinger.exe that checks specifically for this and other worms of late, and my machines test clean. No infected email has gotten to my inbox, just notices from my ISP of returned mail, both to and from an email address that I don't use anymore but have all mail forwarded to my real address.

I have all up to date Windows and Outlook updates installed, and have up to date antivirus protection installed. In fact, the latest update of Mcafee Virus Scan Online has a bug which has disabled all sending of email from Outlook and Outlook Express on my Win XP Pro machine. I have been trying to get this fixed for over 14 hours with their wonderful free online tech support chat. I was online waiting in their Chat queue 10 times for a total of about 6 hours last night, got to talk to someone for about 15 minutes, 4 different times and had to re-type my problem over and over to 3 different people as it dropped out before I could get any help or a reference number. I did get some documents with instructions but thus far nothing has worked. I spent over 2 hours waiting the queue this morning starting at 38 in the queue and it just dropped me off when it got to 10 in the queue. Great support service :<( Tell your friends.
