I had a situation recently where refreshing a form was taking about 2 mins.

I eventually traced it down to a Set Filter command
The Set filter was like: Set Filter to MyField = Thisform.MyValue

Even though the Filter command was optimizable, it still really slowed down the Form refresh, but only on a network for some reason. If I ran the same screen on C: drive it took 2 seconds as opposed to 2 mins.

I re-engineered the Set Filter and the problem disappered... I dont understand why though.

... so maybe look for any set filter in your code.
