John,

Really funny story. I can't believe those things happening all over. It looks like it's too easy to keep a place that serves food. Imagine if they were that low already (washing sauce from food) what they did before getting to that level. And the scariest part how low they'll go if they're not stopped by sanitary laws or whatever exists to protect the customers.

>In July I went to a restaurant in the US with one of our local partners. The server wore a dirty smock and had obviously damp band-aids on several of her fingers. I asked for my food with no sauce, it came swamped in sauce. The server took it back to the kitchen and it came back a few minutes later clearly having been washed, with residual sauce still clinging to the chicken. When I drew this to the server's attention she extended one of her fingers with a damp band-aid at the end and dabbed at the sauce on my food. At this point we decided we did not want to stay... and to my surprise, the local left a tip. His attitude was that he feels better to leave a tip as a parting gift when he decides he will never visit an establishment again. Sort of makes sense, but I don't think I would have left a tip.
