>I have created a view to a remote mysql table that needs a parameter to do a query. When I browse the view, I am asked for the parameter and the browse window appears with my selection. But when I set up a form, using a textbox to gather the parameter and then requery the view, I get an error about the view dfinition has changed. I set the data environment nodataonload=.f. so that the form can start up without the parameter window popping up as the form loads. I know the view definition has not changed because I can do a browse of the view and everything works as it is suppose to. What am I doing wrong or what can I do to correct this. I am using VFP8 and this is also my first step into client/server.

Is there a calculated field without a predefined size in your view ?
