I know you've received many grins and giggles on this one, but I ran into this many times in the military when not using TEMPEST systems. HAM radios especially can cause problems regardless of supposed manufacturers shielding. Some manufacturers are better than others. We ran tests for fun on Fort Bragg when commo shops were experiencing corrupted data on their pcs from using non TEMPEST equipment (the shielding works both ways).

>I wasn't there. I was hooking up to them remotely and was told about it. I assume it's just a comercial CB similar to the CBs in vehicles, but this one was for home use. I don't think it's anything with extra power. Someone has gone out there today and we'll get more info. The PC is on a smart UPS with voltage regularity. They know not to plug anything else into it, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

>>Come on, everybody knows that the aliens use radios to beam down secret, powerful instructions to control people and computers.

>>Seriously, not sure what sort of CB it was, but if it was plugged into the same power outlet it might have caused power fluctuations that caused weird errors.
