>I have an interface that has controls in it to launch various forms. It also has a combobox to select items that will change the forms that the controls will launch via a form name prefix cfgVariable. The comboBox is loaded by scaning a tableA, then the prefix is set by seeking in the same tableA to the record that matches the current value in the comboBox. The interface works fine until I use the comboBox to select a new tablename prefix. Thereafter, I get cannot find alias messages when do form is issued. What do I have to do after using the table that sets my tablename prefix? I've tried closing all tables and/or reselecting the work area that was active before using the comboBox. I'm thinking that opening the tableA is somehow causing the next form I run to not find the correct alias.

Eric couldn't understand well. Do you mean alias by prefix or something like it ? If so I think the problem could be you don't trim the combobox value and it's something like "value " instead of "value".
