You are welcome. One solution to the 50 Smiths problem (if you are also displaying their SSN in column 2) is to set BoundColumn to 2 and set Value=SSN (which should be unique). Anyway, as you have discovered, there are a lot of ways to skin the cat. If you are now using an SQL statement that does a lookup on a (partial) name or SSN or HN, and then displays the hits, that's a more conventional approach and works well. You can also implement a similar approach with a parameterized view (setting RowSourceType=Alias or Fields) and be ready for instant upsizing to client-server if/when the time comes.
