Good points. Many ISPs also allow selected ASP components to be installed. An example of this would be SoftArtisans SA-Fileup.
My biggest problem with other web development tools is that, if you have a large amount of existing code you want to reuse in a web app, you basically have to rewrite everything from scratch in another language.
Also, the development environment you get with .NET, VFP, and VB (also MS FrontPage) are also really nice when compared with other non-MS tools. But, this is just my opinion and I'm admittedly very biased.

Also most offer perl, php, asp, mysql, MSSQL, postgres, Msql frontpage extension, etc. Php is widely used in building database applications; although, I prefer perl with it Apache::DBI and DBI (e.g. Database Independent Interface).

Com/DCom might be a little faster, I've seen some test that would give it a 10% edge, but it tend to use more memory and can be more volitale. If a Com/Dcom app locked up a system twice a day causing a need for a reboot, this would be a show stopper and I think that is why most ISP will not allow a com/dcom .dll on their servers.

Keep up the good work. Your solution would be ideal for a VFP expert that wanted to host his own site, but also realize that there are other equally capable technologies that might be the right choice for someone that needed true interoperability between platforms when developing an application, and cgi-bin is still very fast, stable and robust. It may not be a capable as enterprise java, but with the additional functionality and options to impliment your java app however you like come additional complexity. Net is simpiler, but it implements using one standard way to write the code.
