I have two major points against it (not arguing that frameworks are good and written by good people :)
1. When I create something to my own I get greater satisfaction from my job, life etc.
2. We (VFP propgrammers) are working on narrow market, i.e. we are specialized already as VFP programmers, but being e.g. VPM for VFP programmer looks too specialized :).
P.S. Time is really important factor, and if you can do something to your own, it usually helps ta save it.
