Basically, all files in a directory should be renamed with the timestamp in it. As, when viewing from the thumbnail view, only the file name appears. So, it'd be nice to have it part of the file name (timestamp) so it'd be easier to know when the picture was taken, assuming picture files.

The DOS scripting language (commands, batch files) is very limited; I don't think you can do it at all, using only DOS.
