Thanks Mark, but that's sort of my issue. For developers who are needing to write code that can be DBMS independant, I can see the benefits, although Andy Kramek demo'd a means of writing this data layer some time back in the UK. My application is in-house and will only use SQL Server as it's DBMS, so I don't need the ability to change back-ends seamlessly.

More to the point thought, I always found that using a remote view was a performance issue, whereas using stored procedures in SQL gave me ultimate control, including implementing data security on the server in one location.

Do CursorAdapters generate clean code?
