>>>Did you happen to catch any of the testimony before the U.S. Senate Judiciary subcommittee on CSPAN? The exchanges between Gates and Barksdale/McNealy were basically "Did not!" (G) "Did too!" (B/M). The most interesting (read balanced) comments came from Stuart Alsop and the CEO of Great Plains Software (who's name escapes me at the moment).

>Oh, Orrin wasn't the worst, even though kept asking Gates to answer a question with a yes or no that was connected with the lawsuit against Microsoft, and inspite of one the other senators reminding him of this. The worst was Jesse Helms. He could barely mumble the questions that his staff had prepared for him.

Helms did not come off as very awake, but I also thought that Kennedy looked a little out off it too, I think he would be more confortable discussing what goes into his favorite beverage than what browser should be used by whom. It sure makes our leadership process look extremely educated, if it were not for the notes from their staff, they would not have a clue.
