Hi John,

Many will not like your statement, but I agree with it. Someone or some people must be responsible for reviewing solutions and recommendations to ensure they are appropriate and are actually 'solutions,' let alone the best possible solution which can also be subjective.

Having visited the UT often as well as a couple of other VFP internet locations, it is clear that some of the current MVPs truly go out of their way to support the VFP community and provide technical help whenever possible. More often than not, time is taken away from their own projects to do this. I have also noted that there are those that never seem to post anything or very little in the way of actual technical advice/recommendations so they must be helping out in some way I cannot see. I have wondered what other forums, message boards, or newsgroups are monitored for VFP technical assistance in considering MVP status. There must be a lot of VFP suport available out there that I am unaware of given my lack of VFP community knowledge.

I congratulate all of those that achieved MVP!!!!

>Lets not get carried away too much Ken. The fact is, politics and opinion do play a role in who receives the MVP award. Specifically, a judgment call has to be made as to whether a person's activity/contribution qualifies. This is an entirely subjective evaluation upon wish reasonable people can differ - and therefore - is opinion-based. To think otherwise is extremely naive.
