>I have an application I created for a customer which has 2 server components that need to run as a service, but also have administrative interfaces. My problem is this: I can get the systray class to work and present the interface if the program is launched by current user. I can also get the app to run as a service using srvany.exe. If the app is running as a service, however, the icon does not show in the system tray to access the admin interface.

I have only seen companies write a seperate application that interfaces with the Service. It would load in the startup folder or another load option for users while the service runs all the time. This client app could be in the system tray and invoke commands for the service.
