I've turned off the valid event of the grid by putting a NODEFAULT in the method. I don't have any validation requirements in the grid on this project so I suppose that is now okay. It would be nice at some point to solve this validation problem in the future :)

Can I ask what's the different between releasing my current form and running a new form from a button and the same from the menu?

What are your views on AUTOOPEN/AUTOCLOSE in the dataenviroment?
