Reports & Report designer
Hi Nick,
I think I will first stick with your original suggestion: that of faxing - no need to dial-up, check email.. just hook up a fax machine - straighforward - thanks!
Regards
Dennis

>>>I guest first you need to find out what kind of connection is possible to get between these locations. As a possible alternative, I sometimes used sending the reports to the fax. You just use any fax driver you may install in your PC as a printer for your report.

>Since there is only a dial-up connection seems that there is no really convenient way to share the remote printer. You apparently should choose between fax printing and sending reports through e-mail. Or maybe somebody can come up with another solution.

>In case of e-mail there should be some mechanism developed for receiving the reports in reasonable time. It is probably possible to write the app that every X minutes connects (unless it satys connected most of the day) and checks the e-mail looking for e-mails with the report. They may have certain subject line. There is also a security issue as the e-mail may be intercepted. It may or may not be a problem.
