Hello Hilmar

I found the asci printing to be a better solution for me. I actually create all my reports in fp 2.6 and call them from vfp 6. the app i am working on will be (hopefully) deployed to many different manufactures. i have noticed that many (for high spedd reasons) work with dot-matrix and laser/inkjet printers.

well as you know, printing a windows controled report to a dot-matrix is a pain in the ....

the text version give you quite a few advantages in report-preview and some other areas. if you 'roll' your own preview with this, you can know search, copy and modify in the preview window.

well, anyway, thank for your help.

My class for text-reports has printer codes for a single type of printer, namely, Epson dot-matrix printers (fortunately, the codes are quite similar between the different models).
