Naturally.

Not actually so natural, Nancy. Some frameworks do *not* support using forms without using the framework-supplied super classes. Your response indicated that you personally might think the shipping framework might work this way.

As for the "KB article" (which was a white paper by the way), no I didn't point it out to him. I pointed it out to you, in the hopes that you would refer people to it in the future.

While it is true that the shipping framework doesn't have the kind of support you might get from a commercial vendor, it is not true that one is left to the debugger to figure it out. I'm sure everybody would be very grateful to you and other people who hang out here regularly for giving them a pointer to the appropriate information when the subject comes up.

-------------------------
I don't think I implied anything of the sort, and if I did inadvertantly, I apologize. If others did, I trust you'll take up that point with them.
---------------------------

Arrgh. I didn't mean to imply that you'd personally said anything of the kind, sorry!! just my sense of frustration at the general lack of accurate information.

And, no, I will *not* take up the point with the person who made the comment. There is no practical benefit to anybody in my doing so. <s>

By contrast, to my mind, there is a great practical benefit to giving information to people like you, who supply valuable help here on the board, so that you can pass it on where you see a need.
