I'm not sure anyone can answer the question "Is it too soon to use MM.NET?" for you. The best we could probably do is offer suggestions and our own personal take on things. Right now, Mere Mortals.NET is still a "new" framework, even though it builds on a number of years of design experience and has been in the works for at least year or so now. I know all the functionality that Kevin would like to have isn't yet incorporated. So, I guess it's safe to say it's still a work in progress (as pretty much every app/framework is).

I think there is enough functionality included in the product right now that I wouldn't want to start building a .NET app w/o it. It would take me way too long to rewrite the functionality that is already there. Which, from what I've seen, is stable. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but still takes a lot of the grunt work out of building an app.

That said, if the stuff that isn't quite complete (demo, security, multilingual stuff) is really important to you, and is something you absolutely need right now, then that's a decision you'll have to make yourself. You can write it yourself or look for other alternatives in frameworks. It's kind of hard to give you a straight answer here ;-)
